Eastern Market is Washington DC’s oldest continually operated fresh food public market. Located at 225 7th Ave NE, or just off the Eastern Market Metro Station, this is a great place to experience right in the middle of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. It’s a veritable thriving farmer’s market but also with artists, craft makers, woodworkers, photographers, musicians, and even a Flea Market. Only unique vendors are allowed, and Eastern Market is a wonderful place to spend a nice afternoon. Open Tuesday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturdays 7am-6pm, and Sundays 9am-5pm. Closed on Mondays.
