National Archives
Question: What are the three most important documents in the United States of America?
Answer: The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
These original works of Freedom make their home at the National Archives. In fact, this is also the home of all the nation's other famous historical documents, including the Emancipation Proclamation. President Hoover called the building "an expression of the American Soul." The powerfully constructed neoclassical revival building sits halfway between the White House and the Capitol on Pennsylvania Avenue, between 7th and 9th Streets NW.
